The web is wider than your feed.
Beachcomb brings up pages from all over the web: articles, personal sites, interactive things and useful tools, made by all kinds of people in all kinds of ways. Then it sends you straight to them.
Straight to the source
Beachcomb never summarizes a page instead of sending you to it. Every find opens the original site in a new tab and credits its maker whenever the source names one.
No popularity contest
No likes, no trending, nothing ranked by clicks or by how new it is.
You steer it
Keep what you love, ask for more or less. No account, nothing to sign up for.
Where the finds wash up from
Beachcomb reads these lists and feeds, each one kept by people who care about the independent web. They're worth a visit of their own.
I started Beachcomb when search began answering questions with an AI summary instead of a list of sites. The answers still came from someone's page, but fewer people ever visited it. Beachcomb goes the other way: it shows you what it found, then sends you to the people who made it.Fred, who makes Beachcomb
